If you needed it, Supply had it.... Usually...!
Ummmmm... Wiener Schnitzel...!
John Aguirre, Bobby Hare, Gene Osment, Bobby Johnson, and Horace Reed had the munchies for a Schnitzel, and were they good.
Looking back, the deep fried breaded veal cutlet probably was not the most healthy snack to eat, but that was not an issue then.
Many a time while on duty in the launching area someone was “volunteered” to hop in the jeep and drive down to the Gasthaus Ochsen in Haberschlacht, or the Gasthaus Linde in Niederhofen, for goodies to enhance our pinochle games in between the old 2 on/4 off guard duty tours. In fact that delicious German dark bread was as good as what was inside.
Hmmmm... Pruit must have a good hand... He probably has 5 Aces.
Aw Shut-up And Deal Fitzpatrick...!
a high stakes card game with the likes of Jim Fitzpatrick dealing, and to his left and around the table is Johnny Vytrcil, Martin Rivera, Bill Mansell, John Aguirre, Leo Brach, and Bill Harris. That looks like a pretty thick deck, so I'm guessing it's a double deck pinochle game.
Ron Larson hammin' it up with Bobby Johnson looking on. And in the background John Aguirre is giving Windell Kelly a lesson in wall lockers.
Gene Osment... Ready For Inspection...!
Johnny Vytrcil creating a work of art on Fitzpatrick’s cast.
Teddy Howell getting Ochodnicky and Rob Peterson’s autograph.
And what is this leg breaking thing...? First Fitzpatrick then Teddy.
That's a hell of’va way to get out of doing duty...!
Robert Reed of the Launching area, one of Alabama's favorite sons.
