John Aguirre, Bobby Hare, Gene Osment, Bobby Johnson, and Horace Reed had the munchies for a Schnitzel, and were they good.

Looking back, the deep fried breaded veal cutlet probably was not the most healthy snack to eat, but that was not an issue then.

Many a time while on duty in the launching area someone was “volunteered” to hop in the jeep and drive down to the Gasthaus Ochsen in Haberschlacht, or the Gasthaus Linde in Niederhofen, for goodies to enhance our pinochle games in between the old 2 on 4 off guard duty tours. In fact that delicious German dark bread was as good as what was inside.

a high stakes card game with the likes of Jim Fitzpatrick dealing, and to his left and around the table is Johnny Vytrcil, Martin Rivera, Bill Mansell, John Aguirre, Leo Brach, and Bill Harris. That looks like a pretty thick deck, so I'm guessing it's a double deck pinochle game.
